Draw layer of family masking regions

I have a model group with 2 chair and a table. They both have a masking region in the family. Chair masking region always appears over the table masking region, rather than the other way around, which is what I am trying to show.

Uncheck Draw in Foreground of Masking Region to make it Work Plane-Based.

Have you tried selecting the chairs /tables and then the masks and adjust with Bring to Front / Send to Back  to achieve what you want?

Fixed by setting the workplane of chair masking region to chair seat.
