I tried to change the material of my overhead grade door to a dark gray to match the dock door material. They are using the same material but it isn't showing up with the correct colour in my elevations. In my 3d view it looks to be the correct material. I think there must be a setting on my family but i am not familiar with families to know where to look that.
The 3d panel in the family is turned off for elevation and 2d region/linework is shown instead. Edit the family, edit the panel model group and check this box.
Also, select the Opening Cut and tick Transparent boxes.
