Dimension movin when cropped

I have a problem, the dimensions between the grid lines move when I crop the view, all my grids are switched to 2d.
I can't figure how to turn this off, My dimensions should not move If I crop the view

Usually I would crop then place dimensions,,,Nonetheless, try the following see if it help

• Edit type of dimension
• Set Witness Lines control to "Fixed to Dimension Line"

What about uncropping, right-clicking Grids and Maximizing 3D Extents and then cropping again?   Still change to 2D?

Yeah, it still changes to 2d, the fix: I changed the 3d bottom point to be inside the crop region, and it stopped moving the dimensions. 
I guess it's something of a fix
