Hello all,
I'm trying to add mortar as well as tread, riser, and structure for the staircase. What I did is I tried two staircases on top of each other, both monolithic, in which the base is just the structure, and then the staircase on top has a layer of mortar (monolithic material that is 2cm in thickness) with tread and riser.
The issue is that the first step is missing the mortar from the riser side.
I tried different ways but I've found this issue to be persistent.
Is there any other way without having to do 3 staircases at the same place?
Have you tried 'model-in Place' ?
You could create the structure of the stair as you have done then use 'model-in place' to get the mortar and tiles
It looks like the missing Bottom Mortar element is the Riser/Tread at the Bottom, is it possible to Edit the stair, select the Run and check what settings are availed for Start/End riser/Tread options.
There are additional limitations if using the Monolithic/Pre-Cast Stairs
The issue is we have these stairs in multiple projects, and I was looking for a solution for the issue. Model in place as in component right?
This is the staircase without structure staircase. It starts with a riser.
The riser shows were I have the finish/riser, but not for the monolithic underlay
Can you not simply make the mortar the same as the finish stair rather than using Monolithic as this is more limited in editing options
I almost wonder if you should use a mixture of the options given so far. Use the stair tool to create a monolithic stair, but drop the height constraint by the thickness of the riser. Then, since this is a stair you use in multiple projects, make a family for the mortar, risers and treads. You'll have to set up equations to calculate everything, but once its set up, you should be pretty easily able to enter the height, number of risers, etc, and then place it neatly on top of the monolithic stair.
