Detail Libraries

Hello All.

I'm using the trial version of Revit Architecture 2021. Trying to add 2d details and although I see the library it won't allow me to load saying " Some of the family files you selected cannot be loaded. You must choose family files of the category Component. Do you want to retry loading a new set of files?" Anything I choose gets the same message. Any solutions?

You may want to download and install the content from the link below. I've also have the same issue when my content is missing when installing 2021

Thank you Syman2000 for your reply. I already went there. 1st you have to run the .exe file as administrator or else it doesn't load all files. Next, I still get an error message. The work around is to open the library from File>Open>Family and then once open to click Load into project.

What are you doing specifically? Sounds like you are selecting the Detail Component while inside an editing session and that session is looking for a specific Family Component. Revit is telling you that the Family you selected is not what it's looking for.  BTW: there is no "Component" Category.  Read the Error Message again.   It should include a Family Category Name.

Example. I activated Window command and then hit "Load Family" and tried to load an "Annotation" Family:

That's exactly what I've done and got the same pop-up. I was trying to load a brick tie detail.

Why not make it easier on yourself by pre-loading the Detail into your Project?
