Curtain Wall Legend Components

I am trying to create a legend of my storefront assemblies so that I can dimension only the storefront without showing the adjacent building parts. When I go to insert it as a legend component on a legend sheet, I only get plan and section as options. I assume this is because my curtain wall ‘window’ is really a ‘wall’. Is there a way to get curtain wall windows to be legend components?

Hi Phil,

Scheduling out curtain walling is tricky.  legends don't work simply because of, well, the way legends work.

What we usually do here is set up separate elevation views for the legend and place all the curtain walling on a workset called 'Curtain Walling', then in the view we are using as the legend we just have that 1 workset on.  In general we've found this to be the cleanest way to deal with the problem and it has the big advantage of always being current and fully tagable.
