Creating a dissolved bored pile wall-Family

Hi and happy new year,

I am trying to create a dissolved bored pile wall family.
I have already created a bored pile wall-Family which is being placed along a line using the General Line-Family Template, the Array-Tool and some functions in the parameters.

What I am trying to do now is to place a small wall in between two bored piles.
However, there are two significant problems_

  1. I cannot load a wall or wall family into another family template (at least it did not work for me)
  2. When using an extrusion for drawing the wall the length and curvature are not variable and cannot be adressed via the parameters

The attached pictures might help to understand my problem.

I am using German Families (if this is necassery in any way)

Thank you very much!

Out of curiosity, why aren't you doing this in the Project Environment with Columns and System Family Walls?

Since this is company data I am not sure if I am allowed to post the family

I was asked to create standalone families for each kind of bored pile walls
I don't think that I will be able to save my creation as a family when I am creating it in a project

Huh?  Am I understanding you correctly?  You're not sure if you are allowed to post a Revit family that you cannot build and therefore can't use because it's deemed "company data"?

All that craziness aside, is this what you are trying to do?

If this is what you're after, the family in those screenshots was built with Adaptive Families and Repeaters. That's the nuts and bolts of it. I'll check with my higher ups to see if I can divulge more information.  Maybe they'll even let me share a "redacted" version of the family with you.  In the meantime, Google "Adaptive Families" and "Repeaters".

Hello again 😄
I had to focus on some other projects over the past few weeks.
However, now I want to come back to this project.

I was wondering if you could share the file from which you have made the screenshots or maybe give me a short instruction on what I have to do since I am still having some difficulties with creating adaptiv families.

Thank you very much in advance 😄

P.S.: By now I have figured out what is important company data and what isn't XD

This is golden, did you build this yourself or is there somewhere this can be downloaded?
