Hi all and happy new year!
I have a lighting family which shows a hidden line. As soon as I load it into the model the line appears as solid. There is something strange happening but I don't understand what. It's not family's problem as I've loaded it into a different project and appears ok.
I've checked the Visibility Graphics and object styles and the dash line is selected in both. I even tried to change the colour of the <hidden line> subcategory as well as the whole <lighting fixture> from the object styles to test it but it didn't update anything. Has someone come across with this problem? It seems when I load the family before I place the light on the ceiling the graphics and the dash line appears, as soon as I place it the line turns solid. (See screenshot)
Solved! Go to Solution.
Try to use line work LW abbreviation in the sub category use hidden lines may be it works with you
Or upload the family to see it

The problem was related to the view range. I had to change the value of top range to match the view depth. As soon as these two is the same value all the lines show correctly.
