Create View/Elevation Marker for Sim. Views

I have two offices (Office 1 and Office 2) that are the same but mirrored. I currently have an Elevation marker with view A and B showing North and South walls of the office. How do I create an Elevation marker to say A Sim. and B Sim. referring to views A and B from Office 1. I will not be creating elevation views for A Sim. and B Sim. They are strictly for plan view.

Are you meaning you want two types with two different Reference Labels?

- create a true elevation for Office A, the mark will not show SIM

- create elevation and choose reference other view for Office B, then pick the Office A elevation view form the list, the mark will show SIM

Unfortunately, when I select the view, the option to Reference another view is greyed out and I am not able to do that

You have to check that right after you start the elevation view command, before you drop it on the plan.  See screencast.

Create the View and select Reference  Another View.

Okay. Tried doing that but I do not get the 'SIM.' to show up.... The view I am referencing has been in the file for some time now. Could it be because it was not recently created and has already been placed onto a sheet?

Maybe the SIM label is deleted or Invisible in the Elevation Pointer family. Check it.

How would you get "Sim" to show up when placing a section marker in a drafting view that's referencing another drafting view?
