Hi,

I know the other way around is possible, i.e you can align the 3d-section box to a existing 2d-view like a elevation or a section. I am interested in the other way. Like I have narrowed down to the depth and the objects I would like to see in a section-box view but I want it see them in a 2d view like a section or so. So I can make accurate adjustments to the objects as needed, many things that a 3d view doesn't allow(like temp-dimentions and so on in some cases). Any ideas?

Why not set up scope boxes and assign them to views?
