Consistent colors and vector printing

Why can’t you print vector when “consistent colors” is turned on? It seems to me that as long as there is no shading or shadows, this should be possible. This would be extremely helpful for having better control of building elevations for illustrating material changes in construction drawings.

I think both forum and idea are needed. In 2017 there was a release  note that claimed to have fixed this issue (vector printing support for consistent colors), hence this post was started on the forum. However, an idea might put it back on the developer's team since obviously it is being ignored, and it has repercussions for many clients.

three/four years later... wondering if any update? Using consistent colors - mostly white in line drawing style with a minimal amount of "grey" material to indicate color differences. Made sure there are no gradient/curved surfaces. Using Revit 2018.3. Still encountering rasterized plots. Also not getting a warning that rasterized will be used - but can tell from quality of PDF.

This is a yet another embarassment on behalf of Revit.

In the last ten minutes I was able to make it work. Turns out I was using "SHADED" model display! Woops! Changed it to consistent and all is good in the hood with the same general graphical appearance.

We are in 2022 and nothing from Autodesk. Why would they not listen to their clients?! Only way to plot in color is to change to Raster which the lines on the items are faded when viewed on a PDF. When you plot on Vector lines are smooth and dark and retains all points when plotted if want to dimension on PDF but cannot plot in color. Don’t understand why Autodesk will not fix this.
