Column hatch disappears when joined to wall

Hey all, I know there are probably hundreds of posts on this issue, but the behavior seems to have changed recently so I'm starting another one. It used to be that when you joined an architectural wall to a structural column, the column would keep its hatch. This is not working for us any more in Revit 2023. The column goes white when it is joined to a wall. Switching join order does nothing. Is anyone else seeing this?

Are you sure it is a structural column?  Can you share the column family here?

It says it is. Here's the family. It's straight out of the Revit box.

VG > set Structural Columns category to Medium or Fine.

Is this happening in Revit 2024?

Are you using a Structural Template?

Bingo! Thanks Toan. I've just recently started using these by-category detail levels and they are really helpful.
