Would it be possible that in section you are actually not cutting your host?

If you first place it where it cuts your host correctly, choose for 'pick new host' from the modify tab. Then place it where you want it.

I looked at your project file, it is in the right place. It only does not work when placed exactly on de symbolic lines. But deleting does not help. When using 'pick new host' I can place it on the other side.

Even weirder, when using two voids it will snap to the symbolic line and cut the container. When deleting the void you do not need it will say that the right void still does not cut.

I don't know, it is some weird behaviour. Maybe you should try to build the family again and see if it works.

Your family probably isn't 100% symmetrical, or it could even be a matter of rounding the results of the Cut calculation.

Revit has a lower threshold for geometry size of 1/32" (0.79 mm). see https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/troubleshooting/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2018/...

If you move the Void-family  0.01mm to the right, the cut can be made.

That did work, I have the family void all over the project but one specific did not cut, very strange.

As you suggested, I moved the void an "hair" and the issue disappeared.

Thanks 👍
