Cannot override dimension to text in Revit

Hi All,

I'm trying to edit a dimension to text.  Normally, you would double click on the dimension and a dimension text dialogue box would appear.  Nothing happens when I try to do this.  The dimension is unlocked. I can't find any options anywhere.

Please advise.

Thanks in advance.

It's always been tricky. But persevere. You'll get it.

...the trick is to hit gently click on the text portion only of the dimension.

One click (not necessary on the text) to select the dimension, then another click on the text to override. Don't do quick double click.

hey Bradley .. You're right .. its a bit finicky, but I finally got it .. Don't have double click.  Select the dimension, then carefully select the dimension box to bring up the dialogue box.  Thanks !

I had a similar problem. It turned out my dialog box for editing the dimension was popping up on my other display monitor that was turned off. I must have dragged it there at one point. I dragged it back to my main display and PRESTO!
