Hello everyone

When I try to cut a floor element with a void modeled within a door family, I cget an error measge, saying that the wall can not be cut with that particular door instance, thus the door gets deleted.

Any help?

@dm0144

Do the following

  1. Edit door family
  2. Delete the Opening Cut element and replace with a Void extrusion
  3. Cut wall with the new void extrusion
  4. Cut wall with the void from the floor box
  5. Load into Project
    • Use Cut Geometry to cut floor with the door

Alternatively...

  • Model the Floor Box Void as a Nested Shared Generic Model
  • When cutting in the project, use Tab to select just the nested shared generic void extrusion
