booleaning out an array of cubes in a wall panel using a subtract geometry feature

Revit may use different terms to describe this. I am trying to create a wainscot panel with no moldings as seen in this render. Models are from 3dsky, room and panelling were created in chief architect and imported into 3ds max. Render was done in corona render.fireplace last 4.88.jpg

There is however a top molding and a floor molding. How would I create this wainscot panel.

Hi @bkjernisted,

does it have to be a "subtract geometry"?

Why not create a grid consisting of the horizontal and vertical elements "encasing" the voids?

Simply lock the horizontal and outer vertical elements to the reference lines and then create an array with the desired distance to create the inner vertical elements.

I am new to Revit. The boolean subtraction and array were used in chief
architect and it worked perfectly. I could surely try your method. Does
Revit offer the option to do it both ways? Thanks

You can use Railing, Curtain wall, or Wall sweep tool.

You can create an array of voids. Try this method:
