Beams appearing as lines..

I have placed some beams in my building and the beams appear fine in some views but in some other views they just appear as lines, my detail level is on fine so they shouldn't be appearing as lines, any solutions?

Beam appearing as lines is typically a detail problem, if you are sure that isn't the case; could you please post an image?

Few ideas to check:

Is there a view template override?

Is there an element graphic override?

What is your view scale?

Are all beams in that view only a thin line?

1) Try switching view templates to the one employed by the 'good' view

2) try deleting and re-creating the 'bad' view

It could be controlled by your view template. Try to set to none.

I had a similar issue when viewing them in 3D they showed up as lines but all I had to do was change the detail level from coarse to medium and now they are fully visible.

Mine single line beam display was fixed by changing the view template detail level from course to medium.
