A few questions:

1. Is the scale of the CAD file correct? DId you checked it opening the file in AutoCAD and checking the scale there?

2. Is the file visible in any view? If it was inserted or linked using "visible in this view only" It will only be visible in one view

3. Is it part of the list of files linked into your project?

4. Can you see the CAD file in the Imported Categories tab from Visibility Graphics?

5. Was the file inserted using origin to origin or shared coordinates?

Let us know.

Do the following, it should get your links visible.

  1. In your model, go to your visibility graphics (VV or VG by default)
  2. Go to the "Revit Links" tab
  3. Click on the "Display Settings" for your site link, this will open a new window
  4. Tick the option for "Custom" at the top
  5. Go the the "Import Categories" tab
  6. Top of this tab, set t he dropdown list to "Custom" and Tick the visibility of the linked CAD file
  7. Click through all the OKs

You can create  template from these view settings to apply to other views or just do this process for the few views you need the CAD plan visible.

Hope this helps
