Area Schedule for Filled Regions

I have a bunch of filled regions with area tags and want to make a schedule. I am not familiar with creating parameters, so can anybody show me how to create the parameters for the filled region type, comment, area and how to add the program area?  Thank you.

Filled region area parameter cannot be added to a detail item schedule.  You would need a dynamo script to extract the area value to another parameter in order to schedule it.

What are the filler regions for?  Can you use actual Areas in Area plans?

This is for programming study. Each filled region stands for a room, so we can move them around. If use wall/floor/floor area, there is no such flexibility.

Use Room Separation Lines if you have no Walls.

Perhaps I can try this approach next time. But for now, I am almost done with the whole plan, it's perhaps too late to switch from filled region to room.

Got it.  Are they in various shapes?

I would create each one as a group from room separation lines and a room so that I could move the room as a whole more easily. 

Another way is to model each room as a floor or roof so that you can move them around and schedule the area easily.

Since you are not entertaining redo the work, the only way to show the filled region areas without manually re-enter the value for each one is via Dynamo.

There many ways to do this.  I happened to pick up filled region without considering making schedule until after walking a long way - yes, the only solution left now is to try dynamo. Thanks!
