Stretch Label Along With Geometry Inside Family

Hi, all.

I have a detail family that is built of a simple rectangle (filled region) with 2 stretchable sides (the right and bottom sides can be stretched).

See image below - is there a way to have the label moved along with that right side, when it stretches either to the right or left? The label itself is a generic annotation family, that has a label tied to a parameter in the detail item family.

What about stretching it from the other side and leaving the right side stationary?  Too easy? :zwinkerndes_Gesicht:

Thanks, @barthbradley  - I knew that question was going to be asked and I almost said something in the OP :strahlendes_Gesicht_mit_lächelnden_Augen:.
But, no - I need to stretch that right side and it would be really helpful to have the label follow along...

Yes and by several ways:

- create the label as a nested a nested annotation family so that you can constrain its ref plane(s)

- group the label with a ref plane in the same group, then constrain to that ref plane

Well, it can be done the way you want.  Post your family here so we can see what we're working with.

Thanks, @barthbradley and @ToanDN - this looks very promising!

Unfortunately, I have to head out for the weekend now, but will pick this right back up on Monday and will try the label/reference grouping method and see where it leads.

Again, thank you so much for now and will let you know next week how it turns out :grinsendes_Gesicht_mit_lächelnden_Augen:

Thanks for the help, @barthbradley and @ToanDN - grouping the label with the ref plane did the trick :grinsendes_Gesicht_mit_lächelnden_Augen:

All's I did was change the relationship of the label to the x,y Origin Ref. Planes in the Generic Annotation Family, nest it into the Detail Family and constrain the label to right Ref. Plane in the Detail Family via the typical method. ALIGN AND LOCK.  No magic or convoluted workarounds needed.
