Color Scheme, Rentable - Can't create any schemes

I think I may have accidentally deleted something important. I'm wanting to create a color coded area plan, but when I went to select a color scheme, nothing was available, and the option to create a new scheme was locked. The color schemes are there available for the other area categories. Any ideas?

Use Transfer Project Standards to transfer one from another Project.

I have the exact same question, except that i created a new Area type, and dont have another project to simply copy a scheme from.  i want to know how to fix this.
