Area plan transparency - printing

I setup area plans in a way that the floor plan itself has a wire frame visual style so that when I apply the area as a solid hatch I can see that the area covers both spaces and walls (for the GBA calculation for example).

All this shows fine on the view and sheet, however when printing the area color/hatch is solid and walls can't be seen.

I tired applying a transparency filter to the area and, again, it works in the view and on the sheet but not the print.

I tried several PDF printers (Bluebeam included) and all have the same result.

Is there a way to achieve this with a solid color/hatch?

have you try to change the background color to foreground?

Excellent, thank you!

Also a plus is that the visual style does not have to be wireframe, but can remain hidden line.

It prints as it should in PDF.
