I've managed to create a wall feature and as you would expect in modify environment, the adjusting handles are visible:

Handle.PNG

These handles behave as you'd expect in allowing me to adjust as necessary.

But, when it comes to inserting in to a project, I don't see the adjusting handles:

No Handle.PNG

What controls the visibility of these handles?  Is it a setting?

Thanks

@BugFinder

This Revit help article describes the creation of shape handles in a loadable family.

Add Shape Handles to a Loadable Family

It would help if you post the family in question with your query if you need help in troubleshooting your particular problem.

From the look of your screen captures, it appears that the handles in the top image are not parametric family handles but rather the generic model handles in the family editor environnement.

Regards,

If you want the family with gripping handles in 3D in project:
- the extrusion must be constrained to reference lines
- the reference lines must be constrained with instance length parameters
- the reference lines should not be set to Not a Reference

If you only need the handles in 2D views then you can use reference planes in lieu of reference lines.

Maybe you meant "planes" instead of "lines".

Ok, all solved now I think, although I have other issues which I'll post separately in due course as they are not entirely to do with this topic.

Thanks guys
