Adaptive component surface not cut in plan view for filter color

Hello everyone,

I have a very simple adaptive component loaded into a project. However, I can't get the surface inside the adaptive component to change color through filtering when it is cut in the plan view. The filter only seems to work when 'projecting,' not when 'cutting.'

Any suggestions? I feel like I'm overlooking something here.

The reason for this is the shape theoretically has a zero thickness so it is not cutting anything and the Filter work for Projection as it is picking up the Boundary/Framing lines which have properties.  Adding a 1mm thickness to the Panel as below then allows the Panels/surface to be cuttable and reports the filter Override as expected.
