hi ,

i recently installed autodesk live.

it appears on my desktop. when i open revit, the add-in doesnt appear on the ribbon alongside my Bluebeam & 'formit; add-ins. i think its something to do with the location of the files.

can anyone let me know how to get the autodesk live add-in into my add-in ribbon?

thanks in advance

Hello @leigh,

If I understand you correctly the Revit 'Go Live' button is not showing up?

You may want to try and update your Revit Live add-in.

If this does not solve your issue you may want to have a look at a case running about it (link). The workaround at this moment until it is solved:

  1. Remove render appearance paths
  2. Remove all the custom texture files in shared material folder
  3. Restart Revit and check if the add-in starts
  4. Add back in texture files a small amount at a time and check usability

In case this is not what you meant, please say so. Then I can help you with this issue further.

However, if my post answers your question, please click the "Accept as Solution" button. This helps everyone find answers more quickly!

Hi @leighl

Welcome to the Autodesk community! Congratulations on installing Revit LIVE

I encourage you to take a look the LIVE release notes for more information

I suggest that you update your add-in from you Autodesk Desktop App, see image below for reference

Autodesk desktop app - update revit live.JPG

Please check if you are able to see if you addin in your C:drive at the following location.

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2017

You should be able to see the 'Go live' button under Add-ins

revit live button.JPG

TIP: Please NOTE that 'Dynamo' is under the manage tab, not add'ins tab, since Revit team wanted to add Dynamo as a feature more than an add-in.

Please mark this response as "Accept as Solution" if it answers your question, to help other users looking for a similar solution. Kudos gladly accepted.

Hello,

You can find the material folder at:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Materials\Textures

I hope the steps work, if not please say so and we can help you further.

That's strange, in my understanding, you should see something like the picture below (@Viveka_CD, please correct me if I'm wrong).

Did you try and update Revit Live?

At the former installation, did you get any messages that a part couldn't be installed?
