I think in general the 3D preview needs a bit of reshaping to be better to use in terms of being able to cut slices, see different scan positions as different colours, turn off perspective, easier control etc. etc. but I think one major development on it would be to have the option to see only the overlapping data between the scans selected. At the minute we see all of the data from the 2 (or more scans selected), but due to Recaps other issues I regularly use this now as a way to check the quality of the alignment before moving on with the registration. However this can be impeded by information we don't actually care about. I tend to rotate the preview so that I can see down a flat surface (wall, ceiling or floor) that both scans can see so that if there is a mis alignment I should easily be able to spot it. Unfortunately as all of the other data is in there as well I end up seeing things like door frames, pictures or other random things I don't really care about. Maybe a clipping box in the preview would be handy just to allow us to ook at the things we really want to check?
