We reuse native Faro laser scans (FLS) all the time in different ReCAP projects. Every time we need a native scan we need to IMPORT the FLS folder. Why can't Autodesk convert all this native RAW scan data into a RCS Recap folder format? I want to store and backup RCS folders not FLS folders and bypass the multiple imports of the same FLS raw scan folders.

Currently, Recap Photo outputs zipped files to the cloud (to either Drive or Docs), which cannot be directly used without being unzipped locally on a computer and reuploaded in an unzipped form. Giving the users the options to output zipped or unzipped files would speedup their integration in a BIM/collaborative process.

Hi, In Recap we have the Clean-Up filter. But this is to remove unintended noise data from the point cloud. However, there are not existing filter options like other programs (even open source!!) do have them: Octree or other filter options after the registration process e.g. during the export.

If i make a backup of a project, using save as, i tend to overwrite the previous backup. I would think the data of the scans and pictures doesn't change, there is probably just has a separate file containing the translation and regoining stuff. So if the biggest file are not being modified why are they being copied again? Can't we get a system that's a bit clever and recognizes that if a file in already in the project folder and has not been modified, it can stay, and at the end recognizes the file that are not needed and delete them? I have projects that take 20 mins to save, but if the system worked like above, it might take 2 mins, more if new scans are add sure, but it could be a lot better

Hi, Could we have a feature to allow for a remote upload of the scans from ipad to a cloud service so it can be later downloaded from there to recap pro? The current workflow where the laptop and ipad need to be together is very inefficient and costly. In case of multiple scans we are running out of memory before actually we have an opportunity to send files to the laptop! Thank you, Jed

Die Funktion SAVE AS reduziert die Projektdatei auf 1/3 der Originalgrösse und entfernt auch 1/2 der Dateien und Ordner, super. Der Befehl DATENBEREINIGUNG würde hier viel mehr helfen um die Datenleichen aus LeicaBLK und RecapProMobile zu entfernen. Leider werden auch die Realbilder immer pixliger mit jedem SAVE AS bis beinahe nichts mehr zu erkennen ist. Bitte also die Bildkomprimierung im Save As ausschalten. Bereits der 1. Bildscan ab RCMobile ist ist schon sehr komprimiert.
