Recap output size and location are off when loaded into Civil 3d or Autocad 3d

I have imported a .las file into Recap Pro. Within Recap, everything looks fine - coordinate system is showing as UTM84-14N and the size of the image looks correct. However, when import into a CAD drawing set to the same coordinate system with the POINTCLOUDATTACH command, the coordinates are way off and the image is approximately 40 times too large. I'm working with .las files created from drone flights and processed through DJI Terra software.

Hi Tom,
"...the coordinates are way off and the image is approximately 40 times too large."
Using Civil 3D? Before importing the RCP file, use command UNITS to set "Insertion Scale" to whatever your RCP units are. Don't use Unitless. UTM84-14N would be Meters.

If it good in Recap, please use RCP file (not RCS) to import in civil3d and specify to use the attached CS with rcp. I’m assuming you have CS assigned in C3D drawing, if not please assign in project properties before importing. That should work.

Ramish and Dave, thanks for your input. Setting Units to meters solved the problem.
