Real View does not become available in Docs

We have a large data set that was put in ACC Docs for online viewing. The point cloud shows but we really need to be able to move from mirror ball to mirror ball and see the real view imagery. There are many scans that never fully process and give us the real view imagery. When selecting those scans we get the "Sorry Can't Switch Scan. There is no real view available for current scan or still in progress. Please try to switch to other scan or try again later."

Even leaving it sit for hours while it says it's still saving, and it doesn't change.

Any help/advice?

Thanks

Did you figure anything out for this? I'm having the same issue.

I did this last week and it works fine. How did you upload the scans to ACC?

Unfortunately, no, it appears to not handle large point cloud data very well. After several tries it continuously leaves some scans unable to be viewed in real view.

We have uploaded through ReCap, as well as drag and drop them into ACC maintaining folder structure. It has worked successfully many times both ways on smaller point cloud scan setup projects. It seems to be an issue with large setup numbers.

Hi @DavidE.Mueller

Just checking, is this a structured scan? Are you albe to see .rcc files in the support folder?

If convenient, could you share the project with me at Jack.li@autodesk.com so I can take a look?

Ok this makes more sense, I didn't realize i needed the files in the support folder. I'll need to store it on an external drive from our structural engineer. Maybe he didn't realize I was going to need it. This makes much more sense now. I was amazed that a scan of our entire house was only 417kb :slightly_smiling_face: Thanks for your help.

Hi Jack, thanks for the reply. Yes, it is a structured scan and there are RCC files in the support folder. I will see about getting you added in. I'll also verify there are all the required RCC files, thank you!
