ReCap and Photogrammetry

Hi,

is there any way to use ReCap without Cloud services, or at least without spending HUGE ammounts of money on Cloud Credits? I have a Student version, so it should actually be free to use! Cloud Credits are INSANELY priced and I don´t need them, because my PC is easily fast enough.

I need the software RIGHT NOW!

Thanks for your help!

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for participating in our Community!  ReCap Photo only supports online Service for making 3D models from Photos.

If you have any feedback that you would like to submit regarding any enhancement, please click on the “ReCap IdeaStation” link on the ReCap community home page.  This will help the Project Manager and developers hear your voice on any changes/concerns with functionality directly for consideration in future builds.

Thank you and have a great day!

I can´t even use the software, it always tells me to buy credits, even though they should be free. They always send me this message:

1. Log into the Education Community.
2. Click on the “Free Software” tab.

3. Select ReCap Pro, the version, language, and the operating system, and click “Next”.

4. You will get a serial number. It should start with “900-“. You don’t need to do anything with this number. Our system will automatically match the updated serial number to your account. You can always check this number under your “My Software” section later.
5. Open your ReCap Pro software.

6. At the right corner of the toolbar, there is the sign-in box. If you just downloaded and installed the latest version of the software, simply sign-in with your Autodesk Education Community ID. If you’ve been using the latest version of software and have your Autodesk Education Community ID already signed in, be sure to SIGN OUT first, then SIGN IN (again) with your Autodesk Education Community ID.

7. Click on your Sign In box, and choose “Account Details” to open up your user profile window. Click on “Services”, and you should see “999999999999” in the Live Map Data.

which is compleately useless because an "account details" button doesn´t exist!

There is only "explore purchase options" "manage License" and "Log out"!

I want to scan 3D models and them analyse them in flow design, but nobody seems to have any clue on how to do that with autodesk software and a Student license!

Hi @Anonymous,

I am sorry to hear that. Since this requires further investigation I would suggest to log support case with Installation and Activation team and someone from that team should be able to help you further investigate this behavior.

Thank you and have a great day!
