A newbie question regarding 3d reconstruction

Hi

I see that in order to use recap photos desktop app to reconstruct I need credit clouds point but I get no where when trying to figure out how to purchase and how much it cost. Following the link from my profile I get to online purchasing page without ability to  purchase credits.

Also I understood using less than 50 photos is free, is it the same also for the desktop app?

Hi @omerQNNUA,

I am sorry about that. Do you see cloud credits in your Autodesk Account? Here is break down on how much cloud credits need to photo to 3D project.

The service capacity is being expanded to 1,000 photos and the new cloud credit usage rates are based on the number of photos in the job as follows:

  • 1 to 300 photos will use 12 cloud credits.
  • 301 to 700 photos will use 30 cloud credits.
  • 701 to 1,000 photos will use 55 cloud credits.

Let me know if this helps.

Thank you and have a great day!

first thanks for your answers

As for the original questions

1. Cloud points cost, right? How much?  I did not see ability to buy (see attached), can I know the cost? I read somewhere you cannot buy when you are on trial. I did not realize I am on trial but would like to know the cost in advance

2. Before if I used less than 50 pictures to reconstruct it was free, is it available as an option?

Hi @omerQNNUA,

Answer 1:

When you start the trial period for ReCap Photo, you get 42 cloud credits to process photos on the cloud.

New cloud credit usage rates are based on the number of photos in the job as follows:

  • 1 to 300 photos will use 12 cloud credits.
  • 301 to 700 photos will use 30 cloud credits.
  • 701 to 1,000 photos will use 55 cloud credits.

2. Before if I used less than 50 pictures to reconstruct it was free, is it available as an option?

Answer 2: Yes, we used to have this option but with ReCap Photo processing in Preview mode is not available at this time.

Please, let me know if this helps.

Thank you and have a great day!

Hi

Maybe I miss something

I use recap photo desktop

I want to do 10 jobs, each is less than 300 pictures

I will need 120 clouds credit

How much will I need to pay? Money wise?

I read the link you sent, I admit not thoroughly but still do not see price tag in money

It will matter to me if it will cost 10 USD or 200 USD

Hi @omerQNNUA,

Sorry for late reply. I don't have any pricing information but you can purchase cloud credits from your Autodesk account.

How to Purchase Cloud Credits

For products purchased before Dec. 2, 2016, cloud credits can only be purchased by Contract Managers and Software coordinators. For products purchased through the Autodesk Store and in-product after Dec. 2, 2016, cloud credits can be purchased by individual users.

To purchase cloud credits:

  1. Go to manage.autodesk.com and click on the Reporting icon.
  2. Click Get Cloud Credits.
  3. Enter the billing and payment information and click Review Order.

Click on this link to learn more about Autodesk Cloud Credits.

Let me know if this helps.

Thank you and have a great day!

I opened a ticket with your general support

1. When I follow your instructions I do not get into page where I can purchase points

2. As I am in Israel now, my office used same link and they were able to purchase, but I cannot see any new points in my account

So in General whether it is because I am in Israel now or for other reason the system is not usable for me, I asked for refund

Hi @omerQNNUA,

I am sorry to hear that. I would highly recommend you to submit any feedback that you would like to submit regarding any enhancement, please click on the “ReCap IdeaStation” link on the ReCap community home page.  This will help the Project Manager and developers hear your voice on any changes/concerns with functionality directly for consideration in future builds.

Thank you and have a great day!
