It's still not working... I choose Large Or Extra Large Icons and choose Images for the folder... I really don't remember how I did last time this happened.

Hey @jonathan.artiss,

They formatted the computer (Windows 7 64bits) and I put a fresh installation of PowerShape_2019.1.0... All the PSModels were saved with the option "Automatic Thumbnail" checked... And even when I save a new file it doesnt show the thumbnail in windows explorer.

Hi @Anonymous,

Can you try to check the following,

  • Whether you are using Extra Large or Large icons for display of entities in the folder.
  • Whether option 'Always show icons, never thumbnails' is unchecked under Folder Options > View Tab.

Settings.png

If not then try settings this option and then follow the steps,

1) Save a new PowerShape model with option Thumbnail Save Mode is set to Automatic.

2) Close PowerShape.

3) Right-click on the newly saved PS model (*.psmodel) in the folder and select the context menu Properties.

I have notice that after closing PowerShape only the Thumbnail is displayed for the newly created and save PS model.

Thanks and Regards,

Hey @Chetan.Bankar,

  • Whether you are using Extra Large or Large icons for display of entities in the folder. OK
  • Whether option 'Always show icons, never thumbnails' is unchecked under Folder Options > View Tab: Is Unchecked
  • Automatic Thumbnail Save in PowerShape Options Is Checked
  • PowerShape Closed and Reopened, Restarted the Windows: OK

Besides this, Any suggestions?

Best regards.

Hi @Anonymous,

From the image supplied by you in post 4 of this thread it looks that the PowerShape PSmodel you saved in the folder is not being associated with PowerShape application. Please follow the steps below to resolve this

(they are for Windows 10 but should be similar for Windows 7):

1) Right-click on a .psmodel file

2) Select the "Open with..." option

3) Make sure the "Always use this app to open .psmodel files" option is checked

4) Choose PowerShape (you may have to navigate to the powershape.exe if it doesn't appear in the initial list of programs)

Once your files get associated with PowerShape then you can once again follow the steps mentioned here.

I hope this helps.

Thanks and Regards,
