UV Distorsion in UV Editor & Normal Checkers in Viewport?

I love the UV Distorsion view in the UV Editor, but alas I don't want it to show in the 3D Viewport simultaneously. Therefore I need to constantly switch between normal checkers and distorsion in the UV Editor, when I want to assess things in the 3D Viewport.

Can I set it up so I have normal checkers in viewport and distorsion in UV Editor?

Apply Unfold, which will distort/average UV's based on their 3D relative distances.

I'm not sure I follow what you mean. I'm trying to have:

- UV-checkers in my 3D viewport, and

- UV-distorsion in my UV-editor.

Want to mix those display modes in different views.

Ok, got it now.

As much as I've tried, no, impossible, at least I couldn't figure out how. However, you can decrease the Distortion amount to 0.5 and get equal mix of checker and distort. UvEd > uvDistortion [options]> Alpha: 0.5
