im trying to see my model in subdivision by pressing 3 and it won't work properly im new and have no idea how to fix it

Select the object and open the attribute editor.
Press Ctrl+A multiple times to toggle between ChannelBox and Attribute Editor.
Look at the Shape tab of the attribute editor. In many cases, it is described as object name + Shape1.
Click ▼ on Smooth mesh to open the menu. Make sure that Smooth Mesh Preview is checked and set the Display under it to Smooth mesh.
This occurs when Cage + Smooth Mesh is selected.
