FBX import not overwriting

Hi there

I am wondering why when I import an fbx which I have modified the UV's in an external software will not replace the current object when importing. I have to rename or delete the object if I want the new one with updated UV's

This is how you import multiple FBXs.....Import_Add.jpg

Thanks for outlining that, I guess add is better than not importing but it just means renaming everything. So there is no way to overwrite? I have seen people ask why is it overwriting on fbx import

Ah , I see what you mean, how about the default import settings, it doesn't overwrite the existing mesh?

Unfortunately not, it just doesn't import if there is a name clash

Yes ,you will need to rename the object in the scene or deleted it before importing the new one.
