hi there,
i seem to have this problem alot. i start to model something and then many hours later i might go back a say delete some faces to append my mesh , only to find that the mesh has another identicale mesh underneath the other one., I have included an obj if anyone can have a look at it to see how this is happening. i now am at the stage of throwing a fit because of all of the wasted hours working on a mesh only to find it unusable. the only reason i noticed that there was another mesh underneath was after deleting some faces , and then doing the fill hole command and then trying to reconstruct the mesh only to find that its a complete mess.
Is there a way to avoid this? also if you are deleting faces and then you use the "fill Hole" or the "bridge" command are these the best tools to use to rebuild the mesh, i mean i have used the bridge in the past and if you bridge in parallel , the adjacent edges dont join together and you have to manually join the vertices, is this right?
any assistance would most grateful as it would hopefully save me time in the furture
