I was surprised that this topic has been in the forums since 2010 yet nothing came from it. Fullscreen mode would be great for obvious reasons; less claustrophobic and use most of my monitor screen. I know there's a way to do so on Mac but not on PC (just to be clear, I'm not talking about the "ctrl + spacebar" shortcut).
Currently the closet thing is to hide the taskbar (which can get annoying when not using Maya) but that still leaves the top frame of the application window.
