I've just gotten started with Maya and can't seem to get the main viewing pane to show the entire screen. Please see screenshot. I'm using Autodesk Maya 2019-student version. I only get the lower left 1/4 of the pane showing the grid and object, the rest is black. Once in a while if I click around enough I momentarily get the entire screen. I hope this is something easy to fix. I haven't changed any settings. It's very frustrating, I can't even get started. It looks like a great program. The menus are quite daunting but I don't find that a problem. None of the video or pdf tutorials appear to address the issue. Every screenshot in the tutorials show a different setup of the panels and menus, but none look like my setup. Please help me get started. I'm very good at following tutorials and learning new programs and I hope someone can help me or direct me to a good tutorial. Thanks. Steve

Hi @Anonymous and welcome to the community!
This if fairly common and shouldn't be too hard to fix!
What GPU are you using and is the driver version the same as our certified hardware list?
You can find our certified hardware list here!
Also can you try going to Windows->Settings/Prefs->Preferences->Display and change the rendering engine to Open GL or DirectX depending on what it currently is set to?

Thanks!! I changed the rendering engine to DirectX from Open GL and it did the trick! I was going crazy. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the program. Thanks again for your help, now I can try to learn this amazing program.
