Scene Loading Bug

Hey everyone I'm having issues loading scenes that I've worked on in Maya.

I'll save something like this:

scene as savedscene as saved

Then later when I try to load the file it will open like this:

bugged load?bugged load?

After closing and reloading the file several times it will eventually load properly, but it's annoying and worrying. Earlier when I was trying to develop resources for a game using Unity engine, files imported to Unity would be messed up like this. So I don't want whatever the bug is propagating like that.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Hi!

Check for animation on vertices.

For further help please upload the scene-file.

Hey thanks for the tip! Could that by caused by my constantly accidentally clicking on the timeline?

Hi!

Unlikely.

Ok well, I was trying to look up vertex animation to figure out how to check for animation on vertices and I haven't found exactly how to do that yet. So, how would I go about it?

Also, if I couldn't accidently apply it by creating empty keyframes then it's probably not the issue because aside from that I have done no animation at all. All I've done so far is the model as you see it when it loads properly, so are there any other potential causes?

Hi!

That's funny i was able to get 3 different versions when opening the scene again and again.

The solution:

If you open the scene and the object is displayed correct, select it and then:

Edit -> Delete By Type -> History

You should delete history more often.

Thank you! I'll remember to do that from now on...
