Hello Maya Users,
a happy new year to you!
NEWS: We have just released Multiverse V5, and, besides a ton of new features and improvements, there a new, highly anticipated, INDIE license at just $85 USD! We hope you are happy with this, now Multiverse is more accessible than ever!
Check out what's new at the new website: http://multi-verse.io
There is a what's new PDF too: http://multi-verse.io/pdfs/Multiverse-v5-whats-new.pdf
Here's some super quick GIF videos (Yey, gifs!) for some of the cool new stuff:

Hierachy Access:

The BIG DEAL here is that we can read an asset (abc or usd) as a single node and yet still access its whole hierarchy for material and attribute assignments and overrides. This means you can scale your scene complexity beyond memory limitations and still be super fast. It is fully compatible with Arnold 5. And works for every Maya version starting of 2016!

Alembic Layering (useful for multi-department teams, one artists makes a model, one artist makes anim, one makes UV, and all gets layered at the end): https://media.giphy.com/media/3ohc16A8mQYngXqhFK/giphy.gif
Alembic/USD file per frame sequences (useful because writing all in one single file is very time consuming): https://media.giphy.com/media/3o752hkk41HtfFbP8I/giphy.gif
