Maya freezes after opening scene

Hello, I'm running Maya 2019, Student Version. I have An Hp Pavilion, Windows 64 bit, Intel I-5, 12 GB RAM. I am a student that uses Maya. I use Maya provided on the school Windows computers, and run Maya Student on my Windows laptop. They both open the files without a problem. I recently installed Maya Student on my home desktop and cannot open those same files to work on. The Maya Versions are the same. When I either import or Open the scene, it loads, then freezes. Maya becomes unresponsive completely and can only be closed by using Task Manager. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, Restarting,  resetting Maya preferences, switching preferences to OS Native. Any help would greatly appreciated. Thank you for you time.

Some further details: My computer runs Intel UHD Graphics 630.

I have tried and I can open other Maya Files just fine without problems, it's just the specific scene that is problematic. I made sure the scene is not corrupted as it opens on my laptop just fine and re-transferred to the PC.

Hi!

1. Make sure to delete history not needed anymore

2. Disable Smooth Mesh Preview on all meshes

3. Save scene also in other format (.ma vs .mb)

4. Try import... instead of Open Scene...

I have already delete by type-history. It was all ready to be animated so that was already done.

I cannot disable Smooth Mesh Preview as the program freezes immediately after loading the file. Also, it does not show the models before freezing.

I have tried saving to .ma and tried importing instead of opening scene. The problem still persists.

- You said it opens on your Laptop !?

So you should be able to do this.

Hello!

My apologies. I was unaware that Smooth Mesh Preview was something that could be changed and saved in a file and transferred.

I did just that and was able to open it! I wonder why that is the problem. If I open the file, then turn the Mesh Preview back on, it freezes all over again. I suppose I'll just keep it off.

Smooth Mesh Preview relies on the graphic card, so it's pretty sure a GPU/driver issue.
