Hello

I know this topic has been discussed many times. I have tried all the solutions proposed and it didn't help. Nevertheless I found the problem.  In my older render nodes I have an Nvidia Geforece 210 graphic cards:

https://www.asus.com/Graphics-Cards/2101GD3L/ - 1GB ram, while in newer render nodes I have Geforce 730 cards with 2 GB of ram.  When I updated maya to 2018.05 older render nodes started to carsh (they work with 2018 version). When the card has been replaced from 210 to 730 the Maya started to work. I wonder if there is a solution to fix the problem without upgrading cards in all render nodes ? We use the machines as render nodes (batch mode) so the graphic cards seem to be not that much important.

here is an error we get:

Accepted solution

I found the solution here:

https://answers.arnoldrenderer.com/questions/10228/c4d-doesnt-start-since-c4dtoa-update-240.html

It works for Maya as well.

If you rename

C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI\nvml.dll

to

C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI\nvml.bak

does CINEMA 4D start?

thanks

Maciej
