Hi! I'm a student and I would like to start testing Maya 2019, but the only thing I can get is the 30 days trial. Anyone knows how to get the student license?

Thank you

Hi @Anonymous

You would need to contact your school and get an account and/or student license from them.

Hi @Anonymous

You would download it from the Autodesk website, you just need the student account access and/or license which will be provided by your school.

I don't find neither maya or motionbulider or mudbox in the student version like I do in the past.
On a page we could choose the version and the operating system that it will always pass like that or the procedure has changed? @sean.heasley

`Hi @Anonymous

Did you go here and log in?

If so you may need to check your account and/or talk to your school and make sure everything is set up properly and that you are eligible to use your student account.

2019 was just rolled out to subscribers, students won’t get it until they rolled it to customers so you will need to wait

I have the same question regarding a student version of 2019. I already have my student license and have been using Maya 2018. If I log into my Autodesk account and go to the student software it only shows 2018 and everything prior. I'm guessing 2019 is NOT available for students?

Hi!

Just read one message above:

"...you will need to wait."

Allright. Any guess about when could it come to us? We are about to start a project and we would like to start it with 2019. Thank you for your other replies 🙂

2019 isn't an option to download on that page you linked @sean.heasley

Hi @Anonymous

Ah ok then if it is not appearing then like @mspeer and @DarrenP said it isn't available yet for students but I'm sure it will be fairly soon.

In the meantime, if you are at a university or institution that manages an Autodesk license server, you can request your IT admin to update the network license. Access to Maya 2019 became available at release, so we have the ability to provide the necessary license without the individual accounts. I updated my server yesterday.

Cheers,

Mike

You can download Maya trial from

https://www.autodesk.com/products/maya/free-trial-dts

And use it as a fully functional 30days trial until the release for students account

i have had the same problem. and as far as i remember i did not need to go to my school admin to set up with my maya 2018 student verision. So why would you have to do that for 2019.

It changed after 2019.  For 2020 version you now need to upload proof of enlisted from you school.

* In other words, Maya is no longer free.
