I have a problem with a UV automatic option

I followed online training and I created a plane model then I tried to make a texture for the plane body, after selecting the automatic option in the UV menu the result is not corresponds to this trainingthe true resultmy result when i try

That is expected. Automatic means it does whats best in your case. 

If you dont have the exact same mesh you get a different layout.

But thats no problem move on.

Edit: and freeze the transforms first. It looks like you have scaled it and dont frozen.
