Hi @Anonymous and welcome to the community!

When you get a chance can you try opening your Maya.env file found in your Maya 2018 folder and add this to it:

MAYA_DISABLE_OPENCL=1

If that doesn't help, there was also a similar issue found in this thread.

The solution there was to delete a dll file which I don't recommend doing until you've tried my above step and back up the files as changing dll files can cause issues with your machine

Here's the solution text from that thread :

C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\igdlh64.inf_amd64_250db833a1cd577e )

This Dll file seemed to confuse Maya if there is a GPU or not.

So if there's someone who has this same issue, try to delete  igdrclneo64.dll first!!

Please let me know if anything changes!

Thanks for your prompt response.

I made attempt to locate Maya.env file under C:\Program
Files\Autodesk\Maya2018 by searching for *maya.env* under this directory
and it returned *no found*

The same thing happened with C:\Windows\System32\
DriverStore\FileRepository\igdlh64.inf_amd64_250db833a1cd577e
A thorough search of *igdrclneo64.dll* didn't turn out any result.

Are there alternative files I can add MAYA_DISABLE_OPENCL=1 to get the same
result? Or what other options are available?

Hi!

The Maya.env is in the user directory (Maya preferences).

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/maya/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2018/ENU/Maya-Env...

(There is only "ig4icd64.dll" mentioned in Stack trace, not "igdrclneo64.dll",

but without knowing what GPU you use i would not recommend to remove it, you may only try to update the Intel Driver)

Hi @Anonymous

I looked into this more and its more likely to be a GPU issues. What GPU are you using and does the driver version match with our certified hardware list?

You can find our certified hardware list here!

Hi!

You need a better GPU for Maya 2018.

You can try setting the Render Engine in Preferences to "DirectX11", but i doubt this helps anything as your GPU does even not support DirectX11 (it supports only DirectX 10).

Sorry your hardware is clearly outdated and may also not work with Arnold cause of needed SSE 4.1 support.

(Can't say without knowing your CPU).

You need newer hardware.

Hi @Anonymous

@mspeer is correct. An intel integrated card isn't adequate to properly run Maya.

You can find our certified system requirements here!
