Hey, I already imported my audio and it was playing fine a few days ago, but now it won't play if I press the play button, I need to scroll in the timeline so I can barely hear it, what can I do? I tried reimporting the audio to an empty scene and it happens the same, how can I fix it please?

Hi @g_triulzi and welcome to the community!

There was a similar issue in this thread that may help you!

From that thread:

You'll want to make sure the audio is completely deleted before re importing:

Choose Edit > Delete All by Type > Sounds to delete all audio files in the scene (if you only have one sound file).

If that doesn't work, you can try right-clicking on your timeline, and make sure your wav file is selected under the "Sound" settings.

Finally, if this still isn't working you may need to convert your sound file to a Microsoft signed 16 bit PCM wav format. If you don't have a program that will do this, you can download Audacity at www.audacityteam.org. (It's free.)

Open your file with Audacity, then click File->Export Audio and choose the format I mentioned above. The newly saved file should now load into Maya.

Please let me know if this helps or if you need any more assistance!

Hi, my wav was in the correct format, the thing was that in the timeline you have to put it in Realtime so you may hear the audio, thank you very much for your help

Hello,

I have this problem I imported .wav file audio for lip-sync animation. The audio is not playing with the play controls in Maya.

My settings are

frame rate = 24fps

playback speed = 24fps x 1

Maya 2020 student version.

I have the same problem, my version is also a student version Maya 2022. And my settings are the same and my playblack speed is real-time. I contacted the technical support and they tell me that only here can help me and when I see this I realize that there is no solution.
