I have geos skinned to joints and am animating the joints.
Now when the geo is hidden, and I change the time on the slider, and then unhide the geo again, the geo is at its original position, not the correct animated position.
It deforms correctly when you update the slider or if you rotate the joints themselves, but I need it to update in the background while its hidden.
The reason I need it is that on my character rigs, when I update the slider, the geometry doesn't follow along at all. The clothing just stays there while the joints move the rest of the body.

In preference window change the evaluation mode to DG. That's works fine.
