How to create master finger controls for rigged character in Maya, with individu

I am rigging a character in Maya. This character has prominent fingers and I need them to animate. So after creating joints for all the fingers, I have added custom attributes to the curve which controls the hands for controlling each individual finger bone. Then using "Set Driven Key" I gave controls to each bone in the finger. Now I wanted to create few master controls which does actions like hand closing or gripping without adjusting values for each finger.

Hey there!

What you can do is add a group node above each finger control, make sure each group node's pivot is in the proper placement is all. If you make a group node for example on the index finger, make sure that group node's pivot is on the index as well. Once you make all the group nodes and adjust their pivots is when you get into driven keys.

Now make a separate control and place it above the hand. Make float attributes 0-1 which can be called "spread, sway, closed fist" for example..... now go to animate>set driven key..... select all the group finger nodes, those are the driven keys, the main control above the hand which has the attributes is the driver.... set a key with the default position, put the attribute to "1" and then rotate the finger group nodes until the position is what you want, set another driven key and you're done! (:
