Start External rule automatically at opening part from Content Center

Hi,

Is there any way how to run specific external ilogic rule always on opening ANY file from Content Center?

It can't be done by Event triggers in template, because its always different fot CC parts. So it has to be done somehow by external rule itself. But no idea how. Does anyone know?

Better learn programming add ins.
This is much easier.

You are able to use event from inventor.
Also on placing Cc parts!

And you will see all the benefits!

Well, Im sure addin would work in this, but I am not programmer, but I do use ilogi codes a lot, thats I at least ask here about ilogic if someone tried something similiar.

Addin could be solution, but its not 🙂

The Cc parts are always placed in an assembly, right?

So you could create a rule in your assembly template only!

You CAN open and edit like this. That s no problem.

If they are used as custom yes to my opinion.
But as standard in the Cc folder not.

This means also to guide you in a direction that is working and is not that complicated, and avoid you from problems I have seen over the years in inventor....

Open > Open From CC

You can select CC part, select its settings, get numbering (from Vault for example), ave it as IPT (with CC template). Edit it, delete it, modify it, anything.

And I would need to my coworkers to figure out some rule that would run other rules when you open it like that.

Suggestion.

Could you use derive the Cc part into a normal part?
This will copy the Cc part. Set all invisible.
Then copy with i-logic all properties needed to the normal part from the Cc part.

Do you understand what I mean?
