I like challenges but it is starting to annoy me a bit. The issue I have is as follows: I want to create a new template using a sheet metal part. I have created a new parameter PL_T. This parameter is set as Thickness and Bend Radius in 'Sheet Metal Defaults' of 'Sheet Metal Rule - Default_mm. This works as long as it is not a template. When it has become a template, the Thickness and Bend Radius does not have my parameter PL_T in 'Sheet Metal Defaults' of 'Sheet Metal Rule - Default_mm, Thickness has the standard numerical value of 0.500 mm and Bend Radius has the parameter Thickness. Trying to solve this with iLogic, creating a rule ('set values') with Thickness = PL_T and BendRadius = PL_T and let the rule run when opening a new document. The funny thing now is that the rule did run, I look up the parameter list a find Thickness has the value PL_T, Driving Rule is the rule 'set values' and the same goes for the Bend Radius but in 'Sheet Metal Defaults' of 'Sheet Metal Rule - Default_mm I still have Thickness = 0.500 mm and Bend Radius = Thickness. What am I overlooking. Any help, suggestion or solution in this matter using iLogic or VB.net would be much appreciated. A message to Autodesk: My preference language setting in my account is English but I can only post in the Spanish, French or German sections. Could this be corrected please, thank you.
